Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Paintings of Provence, which included the work Nature Morte Aux Prunes by Jean Baptiste Olive. The price achieved of EUR 5,100.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Baptiste Olive have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rochers D'Endoume, Marseille in November 2006 with an auction result of EUR 50,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Paintings of Provence durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nature Morte Aux Prunes von Jean Baptiste Olive zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.100,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Baptiste Olive auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rochers D'Endoume, Marseille im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 50.400,00.
