Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Swiss peasants in traditional dress by Jean-Antoine Linck for GBP 375.00 (€ 538.52). This price was achieved in the auction British & Continental Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Antoine Linck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of The Alps From Saint-Gervais-Les-Bains, With The 'Aiguilles De Tré-La-Tête'; And View Of The Alps From Magland, With The North Slope Of The Mont-Blanc Massif in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 25,746.63).
