This artwork by Jaune Quick-to-See Smith achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in April this year. In the Modern Native American Art auction, the work untitled abstract composition with figures and tipis sold for USD 28,050.00 (€ 25,407.61) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jaune Quick-to-See Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work I See Red: Talking to the Ancestors in November last year with an auction result of USD 642,600.00 (€ 622,493.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jaune Quick-to-See Smith erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Native American Art wurde die Arbeit untitled abstract composition with figures and tipis für USD 28.050,00 (€ 25.407,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jaune Quick-to-See Smith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit I See Red: Talking to the Ancestors im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 642.600,00 (€ 622.493,46).
