Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work A dune landscape with travellers near an inn, a church in the distance by Jan van Goyen for EUR 35,280.00. This price was achieved in the auction Made in Holland: Celebrating 50 Years of Christie’s Amsterdam at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van Goyen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Wooden Landing Stage On A Frozen River, Churches And A Windmill At Left On The Distant Shore in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,070,370.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A dune landscape with travellers near an inn, a church in the distance von Jan van Goyen für EUR 35.280,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Made in Holland: Celebrating 50 Years of Christie’s Amsterdam bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan van Goyen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Wooden Landing Stage On A Frozen River, Churches And A Windmill At Left On The Distant Shore im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.445.000,00 (€ 1.070.370,37).
