Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale, which included the work Polish Napoleon'S Entry Into Berlin by Jan van Chelminski. The price achieved of USD 98,500.00 (€ 77,669.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Other works by Jan van Chelminski have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2017 the work Große höfische Jagdgesellschaft was auctioned for EUR 92,500.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 98.500,00 (€ 77.669,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden.
