Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of USD 23,750.00 (€ 17,316.81), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by Jan van Chelminski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Große höfische Jagdgesellschaft in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 92,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Napoleonic Campaign von Jan van Chelminski kam im Januar 2011 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 17.316,81) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan van Chelminski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Große höfische Jagdgesellschaft im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 92.500,00.
