Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Vallende figuur by Jan Sierhuis was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2005. It achieved a price of EUR 1,800.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Sierhuis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition, which sold at auction in February 2008 for EUR 4,375.00.

Die Arbeit Vallende figuur von Jan Sierhuis wurde im Januar 2005 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.800,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Sierhuis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für EUR 4.375,00 versteigert wurde.
