Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Twee Hoofden by Jan Sierhuis was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2002. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,585.00 18% above the upper estimate. Other works by Jan Sierhuis have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 4,375.00 in February 2008 for the work Composition.
