Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A dune landscape with figures by Jan van Goyen was auctioned at Christies in London in December this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 30,240.00 (€ 34,835.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van Goyen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Wooden Landing Stage On A Frozen River, Churches And A Windmill At Left On The Distant Shore in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,070,370.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A dune landscape with figures von Jan van Goyen kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 30.240,00 (€ 34.835,32) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan van Goyen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Wooden Landing Stage On A Frozen River, Churches And A Windmill At Left On The Distant Shore im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.445.000,00 (€ 1.070.370,37).
