The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,912.00 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Hillebrand Wijsmuller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Korte Prinsengracht with the Eenhoorn lock and the Westerdok beyond, Amsterdam in September 2010 with an auction result of EUR 21,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Houses along a river von Jan Hillebrand Wijsmuller wurde im Juni 2004 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.912,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Hillebrand Wijsmuller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Korte Prinsengracht with the Eenhoorn lock and the Westerdok beyond, Amsterdam im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 21.250,00.
