Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Swissan Equestrienne On A Grey Hunter Accompanied By Her Spaniel In A River Landscape (Possibly A Member Of The Powles Family) by Jacques-Laurent Agasse was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 162,500.00 (€ 150,018.46). Admittedly, works by Jacques-Laurent Agasse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dash, a setter in a wooded landscape in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 947,097.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Swissan Equestrienne On A Grey Hunter Accompanied By Her Spaniel In A River Landscape (Possibly A Member Of The Powles Family) von Jacques-Laurent Agasse im Januar 2016 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
