Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Gentleman With Horses By A Stream by Jacques-Laurent Agasse was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 14,428.24). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques-Laurent Agasse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dash, a setter in a wooded landscape in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 947,097.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Gentleman With Horses By A Stream von Jacques-Laurent Agasse im Dezember 2015 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 14.428,24) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques-Laurent Agasse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dash, a setter in a wooded landscape im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 825.250,00 (€ 947.097,83).
