Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work “Missing out” by Jacob Rantzau was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in March this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 4,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 3,200.00 (€ 429.43). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Rantzau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “To mand høj” in August this year with an auction result of DKK 38,000.00 (€ 5,097.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit “Missing out” von Jacob Rantzau im März diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 4.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 3.200,00 (€ 429,43) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Rantzau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “To mand høj” im August diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 38.000,00 (€ 5.097,52).
