A top price for Jacob Matham - as previously expected
The work Jupiter and Danaë by Jacob Matham was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2001. The price achieved of USD 29,375.00 (€ 31,558.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Jupiter and Danaë is the most expensive artwork by Jacob Matham that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Jupiter and Danaë von Jacob Matham kam im Januar 2001 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 29.375,00 (€ 31.558,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden.
