It achieved a price of NLG 2,340.40 (€ 1,096.44), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jakob Alt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Der Graben in Wien in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,218.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A waterfall by a lake in a mountainous wooded landscape von Jakob Alt kam im November 2000 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von NLG 2.340,40 (€ 1.096,44) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jakob Alt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Der Graben in Wien im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.218,77).
