In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale), which included the work Land of Growth by Huang Yuxing. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 127,852.37), 48% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Yuxing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seven Treasure Pines in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 64,830,000.00 (€ 7,343,352.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 48 % übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Land of Growth von Huang Yuxing zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 127.852,37) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Yuxing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seven Treasure Pines im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 64.830.000,00 (€ 7.343.352,18).
