The work Riverside by Huang Binhong was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 137,500.00 (€ 11,331.74), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Binhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autumn Mountain View in April this year with an auction result of HKD 6,936,000.00 (€ 7,083,013.04).

Die Arbeit Riverside von Huang Binhong wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 11.331,74) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Binhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autumn Mountain View im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.936.000,00 (€ 7.083.013,04).
