The work Reading in Autumn by Huang Binhong was sold in the Cultured Legacy: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Chang Shiu Sig and Tung Shui Wah Collection auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. It achieved a price of HKD 403,200.00 (€ 46,654.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 61%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Binhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autumn Mountain View in April this year with an auction result of HKD 6,936,000.00 (€ 7,083,013.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 61 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Reading in Autumn von Huang Binhong wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Cultured Legacy: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Chang Shiu Sig and Tung Shui Wah Collection bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 403.200,00 (€ 46.654,85) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 61%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Binhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autumn Mountain View im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.936.000,00 (€ 7.083.013,04).
