Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Huang Binhong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in May this year. In the Asian Art auction, the work Landscape inspired by Zhao Mengfu poetry sold for AUD 123,000.00 (€ 74,730.52) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Binhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autumn Mountain View in April this year with an auction result of HKD 6,936,000.00 (€ 7,083,013.04).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Binhong erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Landscape inspired by Zhao Mengfu poetry für AUD 123.000,00 (€ 74.730,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Binhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autumn Mountain View im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.936.000,00 (€ 7.083.013,04).
