Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script by Hu Gongshou. The price achieved of HKD 23,600.00 (€ 2,597.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hu Gongshou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Journey Into The Mountains in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 51,111.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script von Hu Gongshou zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 23.600,00 (€ 2.597,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hu Gongshou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Journey Into The Mountains im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 51.111,66).
