Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work The God Of Earth by Xiao Rusong. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 12,236.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiao Rusong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life by The Window in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 150,224.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The God Of Earth von Xiao Rusong zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 12.236,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiao Rusong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life by The Window im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 150.224,94).
