Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of a Lady by Henry Lamb for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,639.85). This price was achieved in the auction Modern/British & Irish Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Lamb achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Cecil Beaton in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 137,500.00 (€ 162,900.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of a Lady von Henry Lamb für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.639,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern/British & Irish Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Lamb erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Cecil Beaton im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 137.500,00 (€ 162.900,36).
