Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work A country lane by Henry John Boddington. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,296.14). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry John Boddington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An English lane in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 64,625.00 (€ 69,280.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A country lane von Henry John Boddington zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.296,14) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry John Boddington erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An English lane im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 64.625,00 (€ 69.280,66).
