Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October last year Christies in New York held the auction The Ann & Gordon Getty Collection: Volume 1 | Important Pictures and Decorative Arts, Evening Sale, which included the work Bouquet, Vase Chinois by Henri Matisse. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,100,000.00 (€ 5,133,883.63). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Matisse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Odalisque couchée aux magnolias in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 80,750,000.00 (€ 69,194,515.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Ann & Gordon Getty Collection: Volume 1 | Important Pictures and Decorative Arts, Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bouquet, Vase Chinois von Henri Matisse zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.100.000,00 (€ 5.133.883,63) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Matisse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Odalisque couchée aux magnolias im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.750.000,00 (€ 69.194.515,85).
