Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art Online, which included the work Extensive river landscape by Henri Joseph Harpignies. The price achieved of GBP 1,280.00 (€ 1,280.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Joseph Harpignies achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vue prise dans l'île de Capri, Golfe de Naples in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 160,000.00 (€ 171,526.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Extensive river landscape von Henri Joseph Harpignies zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.280,00 (€ 1.280,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Joseph Harpignies erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vue prise dans l'île de Capri, Golfe de Naples im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 160.000,00 (€ 171.526,59).
