Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henri Joseph Harpignies could be acquired at Christies in New York in February this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the European Art auction, the work Entrée de la forêt changed hands for USD 6,048.00 (€ 5,704.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Joseph Harpignies achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vue prise dans l'île de Capri, Golfe de Naples in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 160,000.00 (€ 171,526.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henri Joseph Harpignies konnte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion European Art wechselte die Arbeit Entrée de la forêt für USD 6.048,00 (€ 5.704,58) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Joseph Harpignies erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vue prise dans l'île de Capri, Golfe de Naples im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 160.000,00 (€ 171.526,59).
