This artwork by Hendra Gunawan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2012. In the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Potret Diri Dan Anak (Self Portrait With Child) sold for HKD 6,020,000.00 (€ 586,573.44) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hendra Gunawan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ali Sadikin Pada Masa Perang Kemerdekaan (Ali Sadikin During The Independence Struggle) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 33,240,000.00 (€ 3,744,983.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hendra Gunawan erzielte im April 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Potret Diri Dan Anak (Self Portrait With Child) für HKD 6.020.000,00 (€ 586.573,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hendra Gunawan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ali Sadikin Pada Masa Perang Kemerdekaan (Ali Sadikin During The Independence Struggle) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 33.240.000,00 (€ 3.744.983,83).
