This artwork by Hendra Gunawan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Golden Fish Seller sold for HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 211,127.78) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 900,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendra Gunawan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ali Sadikin Pada Masa Perang Kemerdekaan (Ali Sadikin During The Independence Struggle) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 33,240,000.00 (€ 3,744,983.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hendra Gunawan erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Golden Fish Seller für HKD 1.875.000,00 (€ 211.127,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 900.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendra Gunawan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ali Sadikin Pada Masa Perang Kemerdekaan (Ali Sadikin During The Independence Struggle) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 33.240.000,00 (€ 3.744.983,83).
