Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Dalam Tampak Luar - Cookies (Inside Out - Cookies) by Handiwirman Saputra. The price achieved of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 41,279.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Handiwirman Saputra have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Akhir Pekan Dan Projek Organik Dari Tak Berakar Tak Berpucuk #3 (Weekend And Organic Projects From No Roots No Shoots #3) in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 279,110.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dalam Tampak Luar - Cookies (Inside Out - Cookies) von Handiwirman Saputra zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 41.279,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Handiwirman Saputra auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Akhir Pekan Dan Projek Organik Dari Tak Berakar Tak Berpucuk #3 (Weekend And Organic Projects From No Roots No Shoots #3) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 279.110,50).
