Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Bantal Sarung (Sarongs Pillows) by Handiwirman Saputra. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 30,013.62). Admittedly, works by Handiwirman Saputra have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Akhir Pekan Dan Projek Organik Dari Tak Berakar Tak Berpucuk #3 (Weekend And Organic Projects From No Roots No Shoots #3) in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 279,110.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bantal Sarung (Sarongs Pillows) von Handiwirman Saputra zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 30.013,62) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Handiwirman Saputra auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Akhir Pekan Dan Projek Organik Dari Tak Berakar Tak Berpucuk #3 (Weekend And Organic Projects From No Roots No Shoots #3) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 279.110,50).
