Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Saul and Jacob by Han Wezelaar was sold in the PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2002. The price achieved of EUR 1,292.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,100.00 – 1,400.00. Admittedly, works by Han Wezelaar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vrouwelijk naakt (staand) in October 2021 with an auction result of EUR 10,625.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Saul and Jacob von Han Wezelaar wurde im Januar 2002 in der Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.292,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.100,00 – 1.400,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Han Wezelaar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vrouwelijk naakt (staand) im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.625,00.
