Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Chinese Painting20th Century & Beyond Part II, which included the work Eagle, 1979 by Han Meilin. The price achieved of USD 5,120.00 (€ 4,837.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Han Meilin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rooster in April this year with an auction result of HKD 74,400.00 (€ 75,976.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Chinese Painting20th Century & Beyond Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eagle, 1979 von Han Meilin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.120,00 (€ 4.837,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Han Meilin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rooster im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 74.400,00 (€ 75.976,96).
