Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cat by Han Meilin was auctioned at POLY in January 2024. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 24,000.00 (€ 3,687.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Han Meilin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rooster in April this year with an auction result of HKD 74,400.00 (€ 75,976.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cat von Han Meilin kam im Januar 2024 bei POLY zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 3.687,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Han Meilin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rooster im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 74.400,00 (€ 75.976,96).
