Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Han Meilin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in August this year. In the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Cat / Dog sold for HKD 100,800.00 (€ 11,857.18) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Han Meilin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rooster in April this year with an auction result of HKD 74,400.00 (€ 75,976.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Han Meilin erzielte im August diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Cat / Dog für HKD 100.800,00 (€ 11.857,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Han Meilin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rooster im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 74.400,00 (€ 75.976,96).
