Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Interior con tinajas III, díptico by Guillermo Muñoz Vera for EUR 38,400.00. This price was achieved in the auction Spanish Sale - Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture from Old Master Pictures to Contemporary Art. at Christies in Madrid and was even below the estimate range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Guillermo Muñoz Vera have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Díptico - Interior con tinajas in June 2000 with an auction result of USD 215,000.00 (€ 225,248.82).
