Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Guan Shanyue achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Red Plum Blossom sold for HKD 432,000.00 (€ 441,156.52) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guan Shanyue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sketching in the Qilian Mountains, which sold at auction in May 2013 for HKD 9,390,000.00 (€ 931,191.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guan Shanyue erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Red Plum Blossom für HKD 432.000,00 (€ 441.156,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Guan Shanyue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sketching in the Qilian Mountains beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für HKD 9.390.000,00 (€ 931.191,87) versteigert wurde.
