Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Landscape by Guan Shanyue was worth HKD 468,000.00 (€ 56,595.76) to a buyer in October this year. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at China Guardian and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guan Shanyue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sketching in the Qilian Mountains in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 9,390,000.00 (€ 931,191.87).

Die Arbeit Landscape von Guan Shanyue war einem Käufer im Oktober diesen Jahres HKD 468.000,00 (€ 56.595,76) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guan Shanyue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sketching in the Qilian Mountains im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.390.000,00 (€ 931.191,87).
