The work Snow Landscape by Gu Mei was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. It achieved a price of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,565.36), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gu Mei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Cliff, which sold at auction in April last year for HKD 327,600.00 (€ 39,609.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Snow Landscape von Gu Mei wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.565,36) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Gu Mei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Cliff beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für HKD 327.600,00 (€ 39.609,22) versteigert wurde.
