Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in a black dress with a white collar and headdress by Govaert Flinck. The price achieved of EUR 37,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Govaert Flinck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An old man at a casement in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 10,327,500.00 (€ 9,479,118.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in a black dress with a white collar and headdress von Govaert Flinck zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 37.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Govaert Flinck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An old man at a casement im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.327.500,00 (€ 9.479.118,86).
