Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Giuseppe Bernardino Bison could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna auction, the work View of the Piazza San Marco, Venice changed hands for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,887.86) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Bernardino Bison achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of The Grand Canal From The Palazzo Grimani in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 410,500.00 (€ 299,307.33).
