Upper estimate price exceeded by 60 %.
In November this year Il Ponte held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Bagnante by Giorgio de Chirico. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 24,000.00 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giorgio de Chirico achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Il Pomeriggio Di Arianna (Ariadne’S Afternoon) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 15,890,400.00 (€ 13,643,341.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Il Ponte die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bagnante von Giorgio de Chirico zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 24.000,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giorgio de Chirico erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Il Pomeriggio Di Arianna (Ariadne’S Afternoon) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.890.400,00 (€ 13.643.341,63).
