In February 2014 Christies in London held the auction Eyes Wide Open: An Italian Vision, which included the work Strutturazione Ritmica Quadrato Pulsante by Gianni Colombo. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 64,900.00 (€ 78,739.32), 62% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gianni Colombo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Strutturazione pulsante in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 314,500.00 (€ 439,906.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 62 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Eyes Wide Open: An Italian Vision durch, in der auch die Arbeit Strutturazione Ritmica Quadrato Pulsante von Gianni Colombo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 64.900,00 (€ 78.739,32) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gianni Colombo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Strutturazione pulsante im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 314.500,00 (€ 439.906,95).
