Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work 15 postcards and one menucard by Gerda Wegener was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,600.00 (€ 348.37). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerda Wegener achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Femmes Fatales in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 82,345.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit 15 postcards and one menucard von Gerda Wegener im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.600,00 (€ 348,37) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerda Wegener erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Femmes Fatales im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 82.345,01).
