Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Georges Jeanclos achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in December 2015. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art 2 auction, the work Dormeurs sold for EUR 12,350.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georges Jeanclos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La toupie, which sold at auction in October 2021 for EUR 30,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Georges Jeanclos erzielte im Dezember 2015 bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art 2 wurde die Arbeit Dormeurs für EUR 12.350,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Georges Jeanclos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La toupie beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für EUR 30.000,00 versteigert wurde.
