Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2016 Artcurial held the auction Orientalism, which included the work Le Cheik Et Son Escorte by Georges Clairin. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 7,800.00. Admittedly, works by Georges Clairin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Frou Frou in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 62,344.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2016 führte Artcurial die Auktion Orientalism durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Cheik Et Son Escorte von Georges Clairin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 7.800,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges Clairin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Frou Frou im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 62.344,14).
