Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of a beach with figures and small boats, thought to be in Madras by George Chinnery was auctioned at Bonhams in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,152.00 (€ 1,340.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Chinnery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Reeves Macao Album, 1836-1837 in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 332,800.00 (€ 487,180.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study of a beach with figures and small boats, thought to be in Madras von George Chinnery kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion.
