Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June this year Bonhams in London held the auction Travel & Exploration Sale, which included the work Chinese figure studies, a set of two by George Chinnery. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 704.00 (€ 819.33), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Chinnery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Reeves Macao Album, 1836-1837 in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 332,800.00 (€ 487,180.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Travel & Exploration Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chinese figure studies, a set of two von George Chinnery zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 704,00 (€ 819,33) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Chinnery erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Reeves Macao Album, 1836-1837 im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 332.800,00 (€ 487.180,19).
