Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A View of Baalbec, Syria by Georg Macco was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2004. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,736.00. Admittedly, works by Georg Macco have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Orange Seller, Outside Bab Zuwayla, Cairo in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 38,022.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A View of Baalbec, Syria von Georg Macco kam im September 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.736,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georg Macco auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Orange Seller, Outside Bab Zuwayla, Cairo im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 38.022,81).
