Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Two landscapes in evening light by Georg Emil Libert was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,250.00 (€ 167.49). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georg Emil Libert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Moonlight at a rocky coast in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 7,000.00 (€ 6,117.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Two landscapes in evening light von Georg Emil Libert im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.250,00 (€ 167,49) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georg Emil Libert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Moonlight at a rocky coast im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 7.000,00 (€ 6.117,81).
