Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Mountain scenery with a stream by Georg Emil Libert was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in September this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 10,500.00 (€ 1,407.74). Admittedly, works by Georg Emil Libert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moonlight at a rocky coast in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 7,000.00 (€ 6,117.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Mountain scenery with a stream von Georg Emil Libert im September diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 10.500,00 (€ 1.407,74) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georg Emil Libert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Moonlight at a rocky coast im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 7.000,00 (€ 6.117,81).
